The following information is intended to assist individual Canadian Unitholders of Paramount Energy Trust in the preparation of their 2008 T1 Income Tax Return.

If you or your spouse are a member of the military, you may be eligible to receive free tax return preparation assistance.

Members of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) have recently completed their week of 2008 tax preparation training and will again serve as volunteer tax counselors providing tax filing assistance.

The AARP Tax-Aide program was established in 1961 by the AARP Foundation in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service and provides special attention to low- and middle-income families as well as AARP members and senior citizens.

United Way of Ocean County is funding a free income tax preparation program called Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) through a grant to encourage financial stability. Through EITC, individuals with a low income can receive up to $4,800 from the federal government and up to $1,000 from the state.
